Congratulations to Britt and Ross!

This weekend was a very momentous occasion! Our best friends, Britt and Ross, got married! As you can see, Britt is gorgeous and looked amazing as usual on her wedding day. Her dress was so different and "her" and she even wore hot pink pumps under her dress. Ross was dapper himself and watching him as Britt walked down the aisle was so telling about their relationship. Ross treats Britt like a queen and the wedding was no exception. Caleb was a groomsman and I was a bridesmaid. It was so fun for both of us to be in the wedding! The festivities spanned from Thursday night until Sunday morning; the Martins and Trulocks know how to party! Just wanted to share the announcement and picture from the Augusta Chronicle. AUGUSTA - Elizabeth Britt Martin and Jonathan Ross Trulock were united in marriage at 7 p.m., Saturday, May 30, 2009 at The Church of the Most Holy Trinity in Augusta. Father Michael Lubinksy and Reverend Rodger Murchison officiated. Britt is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Edgar Martin, Jr. of Augusta. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Fredrick Schleicher, Jr. and Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Edgar Martin, Sr., all of Evans, Ga. She is a graduate of Davidson Fine Arts Magnet High School and a 2004 graduate of the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management Information Systems. She was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority. She is employed by the Department of Defense with Information Management Support. Ross is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Norwood Zimmerman Trulock of Augusta. He is the grandson of Mrs. Kathryn Trapnell Carter and the late Mr. Lawrence McNeill Carter, Sr. and the late Mr. and Mrs. John Wilford Trulock, Sr., all of Augusta. He is a graduate of Aquinas High School and a 2005 graduate of the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Science in Consumer Economics. He is employed by Blanchard and Calhoun Real Estate Co. as a realtor. Given in marriage by her father, Britt chose her best friends, Ryan Armstrong Rhodes of Augusta and Katherine Nicholson Wynn of Port Orchard, Wash., to serve as her matrons of honor. Bridesmaids were Faris Smith Connor, Charlsie Kate Paine, Catherine Ward Stewart, Paige Elizabeth Tucker, all of Augusta, and Allison Lynn Earnhart of Nashville, Tenn., all friends of the bride. Flower girl was Bella Hodge Trulock of Augusta, cousin of the groom. Ross chose his father to serve as his best man. Groomsmen were Bryson Zimmerman Trulock of Augusta, brother of the groom, William Preston Martin of Birmingham, Ala., brother of the bride, William Alexander Bates, Jr. of Columbia, S.C., Christopher Caleb Connor, Scott Edward Rhodes, both of Augusta, Michael Joseph Johnson of Washington, D.C., Jon Michael Friesen of Atlanta, Ga. and Timothy Langston Shapleigh of Roswell, Ga., all friends of the groom. Ring bearers were Beau Hamilton Martin of Fayetteville, Ga., cousin of the bride, and John Hughes Trulock of Augusta, cousin of the groom. Readers were Abigail Johnson Haygood, cousin of the bride, and Rachel Merry Cagle, friend of the bride and groom. Program attendants were Griffin Journey Martin, cousin of the bride, and Bart Gowans Trulock, Jr., cousin of the groom. Following the ceremony, a reception was held at The River Room at St. Paul's in Augusta. The newlyweds are honeymooning in Playa del Carmen. The couple will reside in Augusta.
