Pregnancy #2

Hello everyone! I was thinking earlier today that I have not really blogged at all about this pregnancy. It's amazing to think that all this blog was about at first was my pregnancy. I've found the second time around to be a completely different experience. Mostly, I am so involved with my first child that I hardly have time to think about being pregnant again! However, I wanted to blog about this time around.

I am 18 weeks today! We have our big ultrasound next Wednesday that I'm so excited about. I remember that being my favorite of the 3 with EF. It's just so neat to see all of their parts, fingers and toes, etc. Well, all the parts except for the wee-wee or no wee-wee. You see, those that have been through this before know that we don't find out the sex until delivery! It's so much fun to wait and you wouldn't believe the bets that get going at the end. I find it easier to concentrate on getting the baby stuff I need as opposed to blowing all of our money on boy or girl clothes. Luckily, people are so generous after the birth that we got so much girl stuff for EF. You never would have known that we didn't have time to "prepare", as people say. I do have an entire tupperware bin of neutral/unisex newborn stuff like sleepers and gowns. I think I'll really be able to use all that this time around since it will be almost winter. Eliza Faris lived in cheap onesies because it was so hot last summer! So, I'm sorry that I won't have a boy/girl announcement next week. We just hope that the ultrasound shows him or her growing strong. **For the record, I believe this to be another girl!!! We'll see though!**

Now that I'm in my second trimester, I am feeling pretty good. I have had something different this time around: migraines. While I suffer from these while not pregnant, they have been much worse while pregnant. Fortunately, I talked with my doctor about it and she said that taking Imitrex (what I take not pregnant as well) is very safe. I have tried to keep this to a minimum, but am comforted by knowing that I can treat them when they come. I can't stop for a migraine...I have a busy little one-year-old! Other than the migraines, I have felt great. I am walking everyday, which seems to keep me in good shape and keeps me from gaining a lot of weight. Just like in my pregnancy with EF, I crave Dairy Queen blizzards. Specifically, small chocolate blizzard with Reese's cups. I usually get this craving about 3 or 4 every afternoon; so when EF wakes up from her nap, I often load her up and go for my craving. Luckily it's the only thing I'm craving so far. Why can't it be green beans or something?? :)

I am showing already. I can still wear a few pairs of my jeans, as long as they are low rise. And I fit into most everything as long as it's a size bigger than normal. You see, I bought a bunch of clothes post-partum because I was so frustrated about not being able to fit into my old clothes. Problem is, I never fit back into those clothes. Oh well. I promise to post a pic soon of my belly. (I'm sure most of you would rather see pictures of Eliza Faris than my baby bell, but oh well!).

Caleb and I are so excited about October! I am thinking positively about the summer (oh so hot!) and excited that I will be able to focus on Eliza Faris and we can do lots of things together. I'm already thinking about the pool...
