15 month update

Hey friends and family! I wanted to report on Eliza Faris' 15 month check up. Our girl is 20 lbs 12 oz, putting her in the 20th percentile for weight, 32.5 inches tall, putting her in the 95th percentile for height, and her head is 19 inches around (wow!!), which is the 95th percentile for head circumference. I thought it was cool to think that if EF was lined up with 100 other babies, only 4 or 5 would be taller than she is. Who knows how all of this will turn out in adulthood? I think tall and thin is the way to go though! The nurse asked me if we have turned her around in the carseat yet. Babies have to be 20 pounds to switch. I said, "yes" and silently berated myself for turning her around months before (even before she turned one). Oops! Everything else looked fine. The doctor asked questions about her eating habits, sleeping habits, and her speaking and motor development. Seems like she is doing just about everything she "should" right now. I learned that we need to be letting her use a spoon (oh well, there goes my clean floor!). He did not seem concerned with her lack of vocabulary. I guess there is a broad spectrum of how talkative babies are at this age. She did, however, say a word or two while he was in there, so that helped!! We finished off the visit with a few shots--no fun! But don't worry, the nurse had a safety pop for her when it was over. Next appointment: 18 months. And I hear there aren't any shots!

She's so pretty! And tall and thin too! Just perfect!
