Sickness makes its rounds in the Connor household!

My baby girl had her first sickness. I guess that's something I should write in her baby book. Too bad I haven't done anything in it since she was born. I have no idea how anyone remembers to write everything in there. My mom certainly did a good job...but she's kind of a super woman. :) I am already regretful that I haven't updated it. So sweet little Eliza Faris came down with a cold. The main trouble she had was not being able to breathe out of her nose. We used the nasal aspirator on her so many times! She absolutely hates when we do that and screams bloody murder. She woke up 1-2 times each night last week not able to breathe and miserable. For once, I actually felt sympathetic to her middle of the night cries. Normally I get irritated but the sound of that sweet baby coughing and crying washed all the frustration away. She was off and on fussy and sick, but managed to still sleep pretty well and take some cute pics too. You'll notice all the drool on her collar!

Well, the little munchin gave me her sickness, except worse. I'm running a fever, and feel like I have the flu. It's not fun to take care of a baby when you can barely get out of the bed. :( But this is part of it...my mommy duties don't go away just because I don't feel good. I wonder if I got sick because I haven't gotten any sleep lately? Luckily she crashed at 6:45 tonight and has school tomorrow in case I am still sick and need some time in bed. Enough complaining!
This is by far my favorite age. E.F. has the cutest personality and it so curious about everything. She loves to jump in her jumper (I'm going to try to post a video), "talk", attack the toys on her playmat, and be carried around by mommy and daddy. I'm really settling into being a mommy and can't wait to have another. She can't quite sit up on her own yet, but I think that will come in a few weeks. Her head is looking more and more reddish by the day. Sleep update: Eliza Faris has learned how to put herself to sleep. She has a little "lovie" that is a lamb head with a blanket attached. If you drape it over her cheek, her eyes roll back in her head. She cries sometimes, but usually it only lasts for a few minutes. I'm so glad that we decided to let her "cry it out" this early because some of my friends have mentioned that it gets harder as they get older. Eliza Faris goes to bed between 7 and 8, so finally Caleb and I have some time to ourselves. I can even eat dinner in peace! Earlier bedtime is the key. Well, that's all, I just wanted to give everyone an update.
