Sleep training. It's not for the faint of heart. Our little Eliza Faris goes to sleep when held a certain way, sucking on her pacy, swaddled, noisemakers going, and obvously when her mommy is holding her. Who wouldn't sleep under those conditions? Well, anyway, this would all be fine and dandy if she didn't wake up 30 minutes later (after I've put her in her crib) wanting the same conditions repeated. So I tried the Ferber method, which is pretty much letting her cry it out. EF is stubborn!!!! I won't go into the gorry details, but let's just say that the Ferber method failed me. I know that it will work eventually, but I'm not sure I can go through the nightmare of listening to my child cry for several hours. Advice?
This picture is from when Eliza Faris was only a few days old. Just a reminder of when she used to sleep all the time and I would even have to wake her up to eat! :)
In other news, we are leaving today for Greenville to visit Margarita and Pop Pop. Caleb and I are going to Carowinds tomorrow and the gramps are going to keep EF. That will be nice! Then on Sunday, Mom and I are heading to Litchfield Beach for the week. Eliza Faris is such a beach bum!

If I was still in Charlotte I could see you and Caleb :( Saaaad. Hang in there Mate, she'll learn soon enough to love sleep!
I know, it was weird being in Charlotte without my matey!!
One of the books that I liked was Good night, sleep tight by Kim West. It has a good technique that is a little less severe than just listening to them wail. Of course, Max never had trouble sleeping until now, so maybe I'm not the best person to give advice at the moment! Good luck :)
